Who we are
Noor Removals operates noor-removals.com and provides removals services across the UK and into four European countries. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact hello@noor-removals.com.
What the quote form collects
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The pickup address
- The drop-off address
- Your moving date, if you give one
- Anything you write in the notes field
We also receive standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages visited — through analytics and anti-spam tooling.
A note about the notes field
We invite you to tell us about things at home we should plan around — a small child, a pet, someone unwell. That is genuinely useful for planning the day, and it may amount to sensitive personal information about you or someone in your household.
We use it only to plan and carry out the move, share it only with the crew who need it, and delete it with the rest of the enquiry. You are never obliged to tell us any of it — the move will simply be planned with less context.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, survey and price the move, carry it out if you book, and keep records of completed work. The lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing that contract, and our legitimate interest in running the business.
Surveys
Where a survey happens by video call, we use it to assess volume and access. Any recording or stills we keep are retained only as long as needed to prepare and support the quote, then deleted. If you would rather we took notes than images, say so and we will work that way.
Storage and European moves
Where goods go into storage, we retain the inventory while they are held and afterwards for accounting and insurance. Where a move continues into Europe, the information customs requires — typically your name, both addresses, identification or tax numbers you have supplied, and the inventory — is shared with customs agents, carriers and the destination partner. That sharing is unavoidable if goods are to cross a border.
Who else sees it
Our staff and the systems we use to manage enquiries and jobs. We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to unrelated companies for marketing.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics to understand how pages are used, and Google reCAPTCHA to keep automated submissions off the quote form. Both set their own cookies under Google's terms. Content pages carry no other third-party tracking.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept while commercially useful and then deleted. Records of completed moves are kept as long as needed for accounting, insurance and legal purposes — longer where customs records must be retained.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or ask us to restrict that use. Email hello@noor-removals.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page.
